Claire loved her final college placement at a special school so much that she stayed there for 31 years! Initially Claire went back as a volunteer and then became a Teaching Assistant and finally a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. She worked across all age groups from 2 – 19 years with a very wide range of abilities and needs. One of Claire’s main passions is the impact of sensory processing on regulation. She helped to develop and implement a daily Sensory Circuits programme, supported students to access specialist equipment, led Emotional Literacy sessions, Interoception, RSE, Sherborne and Sensology groups. Claire worked closely with Links Therapy staff whilst they were in school and helped to implement their practises across school.

In September 2024 Claire joined Links Therapy as the Therapy Facilitator and this is what she says: “My journey so far has been incredible. I work alongside a fantastic team of OT’s and SALT’s and learn new things every day. I am so fortunate now to have a really varied role, across different locations to support the amazing young people we work with.”
